On March 7, Guizhou University (GZU) hosted an educational event titled “Embrace a New Chapter: Elevating Legal Awareness” at the West Campus Sports Complex in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event was attended by senior university leaders, including Yang Wei, Secretary of the CPC Committee, and Zhang Jie, Deputy Party Secretary and Chair of both the Labor Union and Women’s Federation.

In her keynote address, Yang Wei praised female faculty members as the foundation of the University’s success, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering commitment to advancing GZU’s mission. She emphasized the importance of promoting legal literacy among women in a joyful and inclusive environment, while fostering camaraderie and a sense of pride within the GZU community.Yang encouraged attendees to harness their collective strength in shaping their academic and research pursuits in China, embodying the spirit of modern womanhood and creating extraordinary life stories during their prime.

Co-organized by GZU’s Labor Union and Women’s Federation, the event attracted over 400 female faculty members. In addition to legal workshops, participants took part in team-building activities, including collaborative games and creative challenges, which reinforced solidarity among women across various academic disciplines.
